FIGHT AGAINST SMOKING! REELEC ENCOURAGES ITS STAFF TO STOP!
The fight against the scourge of smoking is one of the priorities of the management of EPE REELEC SPA.
Pursuant to the provisions of Decree No. 01-285 of 24 September 2001 establishing the public places where smoking is prohibited and the procedures for implementing this prohibition, a smoking control policy has been put in place to protect the health of employees and consequently also protect those exposed to second-hand smoke (passive smokers).
An appropriate employee awareness program has been put in place, advocating a healthy work environment that promotes employee engagement, organizational productivity and respect for the physical and moral integrity of everyone.
This policy recalls, through awareness-raising actions and internal notes, that tobacco smoke remains one of the most important sources of indoor air pollution in the workplace.
It pollutes the surrounding area and exposes employees to carcinogenic pollutants. It is also a disguised addiction that is one of the most infectious risk factors (in the opinion of health specialists) in the development of many pathologies. It can also interact with other hazardous materials in the workplace, thereby increasing adverse effects on public health, particularly in the current environment dominated by the COVID-19 pandemic.
An internal instruction has been implemented to prohibit smoking in the workplace and to encourage all communication and awareness-raising activities aimed at all staff.
Anti-smoking signage has also been installed at the company's headquarters and its annexes with the designation of an area dedicated to smokers.
This measure is part of the continuous improvement of the rules relating to the management system grouping together quality, environment, health and safety at work approaches.
