The accumulation of knowledge and the duty to pass it on in preparation for the next generation
On 13 & 14 December 2023, the 7th annual meeting of REELEC company executives was held at the "Sables d'Or" hotel in Zeralda, focusing on a topical theme, namely "The accumulation of knowledge and the duty to pass it on in preparation for the next generation", thus confirming a well-established tradition aimed at strengthening the company culture, enhancing the skills of managers and improving team cohesion.
The proceedings, which took place indoors, began with the playing of the national anthem in tribute to our valiant martyrs, followed by an opening speech by Mr Soltani Belkacem, Chairman and CEO.
In his speech, the Chairman and CEO gave a retrospective presentation of the subjects discussed at the previous sessions, which, as a reminder, concerned:
- Project management in 2016,
- Time and priority management in 2017
- Performance management and appraisal in 2018
- Managing change in the company in 2019
- Social dialogue and collective intelligence in 2021
- Digital transformation and managerial practices in 2022.
For this edition, the company has called on the team at Unity Algeria, a firm specialising in management and business consultancy and expert with the International Labour Organization (ILO).
This year's theme focused on the accumulation of knowledge and the duty to pass it on, with the aim of preparing the next generation to continue the company's development and ensure good governance.
In the course of this work, REELEC executives were invited to experiment with different situations enabling each member to better understand his or her position, assimilate the fundamental principles of succession preparation, including succession planning, skills management, the integration of career development tools and the automation of the succession process.
At the end of this team-building meeting, a panel of REELEC executives was set up to summarize the work undertaken and engage in a frank and enriching debate on the theme of the 7th session.
On the fringes of this meeting, a testimonial on REELLEC's management was given by pioneers in the industrial sector, praising the management team and employees in particular for their commitment, adherence to the strategy adopted, and evolving performance in terms of management ratios.
The event closed with the distribution of medals of merit to the best executives who had played an active part in the success of the meeting.
